I'm a fell/mountain runner from Keswick in the Lake District, UK. Although I've been running since school, it's only really been in the last 4 or 5 years that I've taken it more seriously. In that time I've been lucky enough to qualify to represent the army and win a couple of well-known races, such as the Old County Tops with fellow Beta Running athlete Paul Tierney.
I mainly race abroad in the summer, having a decent few runs at races such as Matterhorn Ultraks (2nd), Pikes Peak (6th), The Rut (2nd) and Trail du Velan (1st)
In October 2020 George set a new British record for the Bob Graham Round in an outstanding time of 13 hours and 44 minutes.
I love being in the mountains and I love running. There's not a right lot more to it than that!
